COVID-19 Safety updates and Policies
Travelers to Belize, kindly take note of key changes for entry requirements as of 1 March 2022:
Covid-19 testing will be limited to those who are not fully vaccinated.
All fully vaccinated persons will be able to enter via airport, land border or sea port without testing.
All curfew mandates have been removed.
Mask wearing is not required for outdoor spaces.
Before Visiting Belize
Effective February 15, 2022, all visitors will be required to purchase the Belize Travel Insurance. The policy will cost $18 USD Per Person. The policy will be effective for 21 days from the day the insured is legally in Belize. You can purchase online or upon arrival at any of the entry points in Belize (Airport, Seaports, or Land Borders). As of March 1 2022, testing is NOT required for fully vaccinated travelers and children under 12. Unvaccinated travelers or those without proof of full vaccination must be tested when arriving.
While staying in Belize
As of March 1 2022, masks are NOT required in outdoor spaces, but still required indoors and when using public transportation.
As of March 1 2022, all curfew restrictions have been lifted.
Before leaving Belize
As of December 6, 2021, all US-bound air travelers, regardless of citizenship or vaccination status, will be required to show a negative pre-departure COVID-19 viral test taken no more than one calendar day before they board their flight to the United States.
